When it comes to playing dress up, there is more than meets the eye.. I'm talking about the not so visible kind of fashion. Yeah, that's right: lingerie.
Ever wondered if there was something more than just your average lace bra? Well stop questioning, because there is. Hooray for that!

A few years ago I came across a brand called La fille d'O and it was love at first sight (and it's belgian so hooray for that too! Feeling kind of excited today). Never knew lingerie could be so much fun; they play with different fabrics, straps and it doesn't stop there.

Anyway.. Enough with the love parade, let's switch to pictures shall we? Last week I got a new set and I wanted to share my excitement with you!

Talk about a site to watch.. This is definately the way to go.
I'm talking about fashionface.tv, the site of Samantha and Nicole Chapman also known as Pixiwoo.

What I like about the site is you get to know everything you have to know about make up, from basics to the over the top looks and even fresh of the runway inspired make up.

They always explain everything very clearly so you don't have to worry to mess things up, and even if you do.. Just take some skin cleanser and start again!

So what are you waiting for? Go put some make up on that lovely face of yours!

I've always been a Diesel-lover, my friends know that, and now you know too.
So when they started their Diesel Black Gold line I couldn't be happier, but at first I wasn't so convinced about the looks they designed. I thought they were a little boring, something you can't say about the regular Diesel line.
A few days ago I watched the fashion show of Diesel Black Gold SS11 and I must say, this brings love to a new level! It's a Western inspired show, very beautifuly designed with lots of leather applications and brown tints. I've uploaded some of my favorite looks here

I know it's been a while, shame on me! I've been extremely busy with so many things lately that I've neglected my blog a little bit... I know
But I'm back now and going stronger as ever.. Starting tomorrow there will be more outfit posts and just more posts in general. So stay tuned!

L'amour Fou

Yesterday I was invited to the avant-première of YSL's L'amour Fou, the documentary about Yves Saint Laurent's life and I must admit I loved every second of it!
It's not just a dull documentary because you have the feeling you really get to know the designer. There are a lot of never before seen pictures and film fragments of his personal life, his house and off course the clothes.

In this film it's Pierre Bergé, Yves' partner, who tells the life story of YSL and he does it with such great passion and honesty it really touched me :)
You're following Pierre Bergé towards 'the auction of the century' where all their pieces of art were sold and I must say, Pierre and Yves had a huge collection of art! They even had pieces by James Ensor and that makes me kinda proud because the artist lived in my town.

I want to say a big big BIG thank you to the lovely people of belmodo.tv for inviting me and for the goodie bag as well! I had such a wonderful night!

The release date in Belgium is 22 September, so go go GO!

Peter Pilotto for Kipling

Friday I went to the Peter Pilotto for Kipling launch @ YOUR Antwerp with fellow blogger Louise.
It was a nice evening with drinks, friends, clothes and off course the bags!

I also took some pictures of the store, which was incredibly nice. I didn't know the store before so it was a really nice find!

We have all been wondering who will be collaborating with H&M this winter and if we believe Vogue, and in Vogue we trust, it will be Alber Elbaz from Lanvin!

Could this day get any better?
Fact is, it's still just a rumour, but I'd be glad to believe it.
We'll know for sure in just a week, because on September 9th H&M will reveal it's big secret!
So for now.. Let's just hope for Lanvin

Les Khakis de Chanel

I, and a lot of others, seem to be very much into nail polish lately.. Chanel nail polish to be precisely.
No other brand could cause such a buzz about nail polish like the guys over at Chanel do! First there was Jade, then Nouvelle Vague and now we have Les Khakis.. and they're even more 'limited edition' than the others 'cause they're only sold at the Chanel shops. So don't go knocking on your perfume store's door, les khakis are not going to be there!

My favorite is definately khaki rose, but I'm still not sure if I'm going all the way to Brussels for nail polish, isn't that just a little bit over the top?

In expectation of les khakis to arrive (8 september) I bought myself another nail polish today (you can never have too much nail polishes, right?)
It's Paradoxal by Chanel, not quite as exclusive as Les Khakis but still stylish as hell!

And a big thumbs up for our belgian creative director Peter Philips over at the Chanel make up department!

Hi again,
I'm back in Belgium now!
Yesterday I arrived back home around midnight, so I didn't have the time to update my blog yet. I'm studying for exams as well so that gives me even less time.
But hey, here I am anyway!

I must say I love the jeans I'm wearing and they gave it to us as a present so I can wear it all the time now!

You notice I'm the only one not looking in the lense? Haha, that's so typically me!

Copenhagen part I: My Camping Room

Hi guys,
It's been a hectic day today!
I had to wake up at 4.30 this morning to get to the airport, we arrived around 11 o'clock this afternoon.
I'm telling you more about this in a next post, I don't have much time now because I have to get ready for dinner and party ;)

I'll do show you a little movie of my room! We stay at the design hotel Fox, and I'm sleeping in the camping room.

Hi sweeties!
Yesterday I had to go Antwerp (my favorite city!) and even tough it is THE shopping capital of Belgium it wasn't just for shopping.. No no, I had to give my very first interview :) *blush*
In only 2 weeks I'll be in Kopenhagen for the Only blog event! So that's why I had the interview yesterday, and I got to pick out my favorite pieces of the new collection.. That was really hard because I loved a lot of the new pieces they had, but I managed to choose some anyway ;)

Sweetness from Thailand

Who doesn't love presents? I absolutely love them! Especially when there is put some thought into it and today I received a present like that.
One of my best friends was in Thailand for 4 weeks with her boyfriend and she brought me a really sweet souvenir..
What did she bring for me? Well it's Elle Thailand! I love glossy magazines and especially Elle magazine so this was the perfect souvenir for me!
Alltough I can't read it I noticed that there are some differences. There are a lot of ad campaigns for whitening your skin, that sounds weird to us but in Thailand people really want to have white skin. Here it's the opposite, we do everything to have tanned skin, or at least skin that looks like it's tanned.
Another difference I saw is that the pages are really full, there's not a spot left unused so it can come of very 'in your face'.

5 in the morning

Hi there, I'm back!
It has been a weird couple of days for me.
First of all I needed to catch up a lot of sleep and come back in the day rhythm instead of the night rhythm. That wasn't so easy because last night I had to work at a party and I arrived at home around 5 AM so I woke up today around 2 o'clock in the afternoon..
Yeah, that's not quite the day rhythm yet, but I'm getting there!
On top of that I'm home alone for two weeks now, so for now I'm the lady of the house and I got to say I love the freedom of doing whatever you want, but keeping the house clean is soooo hard! I've only been home for like 3 days and it's already a mess!
I'll have to do some massive cleaning before my parents get home ;-)

Anyway I have some pictures for you, shot this morning.
I'm wearing my glasses because I had a headache from not wearing them, I always seem to forget my glasses!

I'm wearing a shirt from Diesel's Be Stupid campaign and I must say I'm in love with their campaign. The slogan on the shirt is the one I liked most: "Smart listens to the head. Stupid listens to the heart."
Well, let us be stupid for once!

Summer of festivals

It's been a while since I posted something I know..
I've been busy enjoying the extremely good weather, friends, sales and festivals!

This Saturday I went to Les Ardentes especially to see Erykah Badu, she's one of my favorite artists, but it quickly became a big disappointment!
First of all the show started 20 minutes too late and when she finally did came on stage she just stood there for 10 minutes because the micro didn't work.. Can you believe that? The songs she sang were absolutely amazing, I love her voice so much! But after only 4 songs she left the stage without saying a word.. She's a diva alright!
I'm glad I already saw her once before at Couleur Café two years ago, because I know she can give a mind blowing show, but this wasn't it.
Better luck next time I guess..

I did love her poncho ;-)

Tomorow I'm taking off to Dour festival so I'll be back on Monday!

First of all, I'm sorry I've been gone so long!
I've been working a lot these last couple of days, and the free time I had left I spend with my friends. I'm having so much fun with them!

But anyway, I'm back now with a cool update if I may say so myself.
You all know the flip flops made by havaiana, well they collaborated with some designers and let them do their thing with the slippers!
You wanna hear names? Well there's Paul Smith, Matthew Williamson, Jade Jagger and oh yeah Manolo Blahnik. They're going away on auction for a good source from July 15th in Selfridges London and online, so keep an eye on them ;)

Remember I told you the mailman was bringing me something else later on?
Well.. It arrived this Tuesday but I didn't post it 'till now!
I've just been very very busy lately so I didn't have the time, but hey! Here it is!
It's my brand new Marc by Marc Jacobs dress!
I fell in love with it from the first moment I saw it! I tend to fall in love with a lot of Marc Jacobs' pieces, but this was definately le coup de foudre!

Yes I'm proud to announce that I'm the winner of Only's blog contest!
What does that mean?
Well, it means that I'm going to Kopenhagen in August and meet other bloggers from other countries there.
I will get to know them and the design process of Only's clothes.
We'll get to know how we can make our blogs even better.
We'll do a shoot with the new Only collection.
And most of all.. We'll have a PARTY!
You can't imagine how much I'm looking forward to this.. I still can't believe I won!

Acne's Resort 2011 Collection

Aloha from hot & sunny Belgium!
What a lovely weather we had the last few days and I'm enjoying it sooooo much especially since the exams are finally over.
In a 5 seconds flash on the internet I saw the resort collection from Acne and I must say it was a pleasure to look at.
I don't know the brand very well, but this makes me want to get to know the brand and the next time I'm going to Antwerp (very soon because the sales are coming up!) I'll visit the Acne shop for sure!

Something just popped in my mind a few minutes ago..
Have I ever seen Karl Lagerfeld without his sunglasses on?
Do I know what his eyes look like?
Hmm.. I haven't the slightest idea of what his face looks like without his black shades.
Okay, google is the answer to that you may think but it wasn't so simple as you might think it is. Mister Lagerfeld is very rarely caught without the glasses so I wanted to share the pics that I did found!

Today was going to be yet another boring day as I'm still studying for my exams.
But everything changed when I heard the doorbell ringing at around 10 AM, that's the time our mailman usually comes..

Ever read a fashion blog before? I know I did and I do most of my free time know.
So why start one when there are so many yet? Because I think I can do it better? No, not at all.. I love to follow blogs from all over the world so I can see what's happening on the other side. I also love following blogs from nearby.. And that's the problem! I didn't find a lot of Belgian bloggers (but I do love Poise & Vogue) so here I am, representing a tiny piece from our little country!
